Who we are

Crescendo IP was founded to empower artists and entrepreneurs through intellectual property counseling. We exist to help creatives and business owners understand U.S. IP law, develop strategies to protect their IP and mitigate IP litigation risks, and bolster their rights through copyright and trademark prosecution.

We value transparency, creativity, integrity, quality, and timeliness.

What sets us apart?

  1. We prioritize flat fees. We have a menu of common services. If you don’t see what you need on that menu, we’ll provide you with a quote. You will always know how much we are charging for our services before we bill you.

  2. We know music. The firm offers unique services for independent musicians. Our founder is a singer-songwriter that has personal experience with navigating copyright law as an artist.

  3. We are transparent. Legal services should not exist in a vacuum. We’ll let you know if a service does not make sense for you.

Meet our Founder

Alyssa Yoshino is an independent musical artist-turned-attorney who specializes in transactional intellectual property law. She went to law school because she was frustrated at the difficulty of navigating our intellectual property system as an independent artist. She started Crescendo IP to help artists and entrepreneurs understand and protect their intellectual property.

Alyssa attended the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology where she specialized in copyright, trademark, and patent law. She was a 2023 Intellectual Property Colloquium Fellow, obtained a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, served as the Managing Editor of the Chicago-Kent Journal of Intellectual Property, and earned several CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for intellectual property courses. Before starting her own firm, she was an associate at a boutique law firm in Chicago where she practiced Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Media, and Business and Corporate Law.
